Celebrate Independence Day in Miami

Miami is one of the most lively cities in the country, and the Fourth of July is one of the most exciting holidays - talk about a match made in heaven! When you visit Miami for Independence Day, you have the opportunity to explore some very exciting events! Follow our guide and you’ll have a very eventful July 4th!

WATCH THE FIREWORKS

Miami is host to all sorts of different fireworks shows on July 4th, but the Key Biscayne show has been known to be particularly extraordinary. Sure, you could watch the show from land, but the show is its very best when viewed from the water. Buy a ticket to watch the fireworks show from aboard a luxury yacht. The Biscayne Lady Luxury Yacht features a whole party complete with a DJ, coursed dinner, and open bar.

The event starts at 6:30 PM and goes until 10:00. Truly, there is no better way to spend the Fourth than a night of luxury and fireworks!

4TH OF JULY 5K

For all the active people out there, this is for you. This is by far the best way to burn off those beer and barbecue calories before you get into the festivities.  If you’re unable to get a ticket to run, it’s still a fun event to watch. The excitement in the air is almost palpable, and it’s a great way to get a jumpstart on your Independence day.

The race starts from the Kendall Indian Hammocks Park at 7 AM, with registration beginning at 5:30 AM.

FAMILY FRIENDLY PICNIC

On the 4th this year, the Barnacle Historic State Park will host a traditional, kid-friendly picnic. This event is easily one of the most family friendly during the Independence holiday in Miami.  There will be food, games, and arts and crafts for everyone to enjoy. For all the families out there, this is easily one of the most laid-back, fun, and traditional ways to spend the fourth.

The Picnic begins at 10 AM and goes until 4 PM. It costs only $5 for ages 13 and over, $3 for ages 6-12, and children under 6 get in free.


ADVENTUROUS FIREWORKS VIEWING

For all the adventurous folks out there, we have the 4th of July festivities for you! The Virginia Key Outdoor Center is offering one of the most exciting ways to view the fireworks. After a dinner of hot dogs and burgers, guests will set out onto the Atlantic Ocean on their choice of a kayak or paddleboard. Amongst the waves, you’ll be able to watch the South Beach fireworks erupting over the ocean. This is by far the most unique and adventurous way to spend the evening of July 4th!

The event starts at 4:00 Pm at the Virginia Key Outdoor Center and ends at around 10:00 PM.

FREEDOM FEST

Freedom Festival is a Miami favorite that is free to enter this year! The festival has it all. Waterslides, carnival games, food and drink, plus much more. It will also feature live music from Keith Johns and LeAnn Rimes. Starting at 11:00 AM, there are alligator wrestling shows that would be a crime to miss! Freedom festival the most diverse array of attractions for you and your family to spend July 4th!

The event starts at 10:00 AM and goes until about 10:00 PM, with fireworks beginning at 9:00 PM.

THE WHARF FOURTH OF JULY PARTY

The Wharf is a riverside outdoor area with multiple bars and restaurants all in close proximity. They will be hosting a big 🔗Fourth of July party this year called “Star Spangled Awesome,” which will be a great place to watch fireworks, eat food, and engage in some classic Miami partying. The party is hosted by Indulge Magazine and will feature a live DJ and some awesome food supplied by local restaurants. Children accompanied by adults are welcome to attend before 6 PM, but after that point the event is for ages 21 and up. Spend your Fourth of July Miami style at a happening party along the river.
